Workshop Content
Our neurodiversity awareness training will help your organisation understand how to engage with your neurodiverse community through increased understanding and practical strategies that can be used.
Our Facilitator
Our workshop facilitator is Chris Cole, Learning Differences Advisor and specialist.
About Chris
Chris has been presenting workshops to parents, educators, children and tutoring organisations since 2016. Her presentation style means the information is presented in an articulate, easy to understand, interactive method that builds on the attendee’s knowledge. Chris’s extensive knowledge and expertise comes in part from living as a person with compensated dyslexia, her sons who have dyslexia and through her role as a founding member of the local support group for parents of children with learning difficulties. She is an accountant by trade and has retrained though SPELD NZ and Literacy Aotearoa as well as attending workshops run by an international dyslexic expert. |
“I was buzzing after yesterday session, it was so good! I had an overwhelming amount of positive feedback, with other staff telling me how much they enjoyed the training — they found the information very useful, strategies for improving people’s experience easy to implement and they also were surprised that such a large number of people are affected.”
